Hello, and welcome to the Colonial Motel's Web home. My name is KERRY; I have been the owner/manager here since May of 2002.
I will also serve as your host, should you choose to drop by and spend some time with us... The lady in the middle is VERIA. She is the Assistant Manager,
my confidant, my ex-wife/current partner, Laundry Manager and Front Desk Clerk, just to name a few of her duties.......Basically, she's been my SALVATION from going completely NUTS during the course of running this place!!
We also have our long time "Housekeeper Extrordinaire" LANETTE, and LAVENIA, my step-daughter and our part time Desk Clerk, or whatever else we need her to be.....
The Colonial has been a fixture in Weiser for road weary travelers of Hwy. 95 since 1940 when it was originally built as several (10 or 12 I believe...) "Efficiency Apartments" [for lack of a better term] and then converted to a 21 unit motel in 1950 or so. Check Out the PICS Here.
It also holds the distinction of being the oldest, the largest, and we like to think the BEST existing motel in Weiser. It has been difficult to get any real accurate information about it's "history timeline" from anyone, although I am CONSTANTLY looking for anyone that can provide any to me. (hint hint...) Sometime in the early 60's (educated guess again) two more rooms were added, as well as a separate "Lobby" area, bringing us to our current configuration of 24 units, with a "Managers Apartment" as well as an onsite laundry.
We have configurations of one to three bed units, with four of those being "Kitchenettes."
Since you're here....I hope you will take some time to explore our site and let me know what you think. I'm always open to any suggestions or ideas of how to make the site as complete as possible, easy to navigate, and pleasant to view for you, our existing and future customers.
