The following information is Colonial Motel's Policy on Reservations, Cancellations, Pets, and other important information.

We look forward to making your visit to the Colonial a most enjoyable one. Our accommodations feature 24 one, two or three bed units, 4 of those being kitchenettes. If you have specific requests, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

SUMMARY of the "HOUSE RULES" 
No unregistered guests are to be in any rooms after MIDNIGHT. An additional charge of $25.00 per night, per extra person plus tax will automatically be charged to the credit card, or in the case of a cash sale, a bill will be sent to address of the guest named on the registration card.

QUIET TIME is from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM

No extensive work is to be done on any automobile while in the Colonial Motel's parking area. Any minor repairs that ARE done in our parking lot MUST BE finished and cleaned up by 8:00 PM or dark, which ever comes first.

Items in rooms are inventoried during every check-out. Any missing items will be charged to the card on file or a bill will be sent to the registration card signer for any and all missing and/or damaged items.

For security purposes, if a room key goes missing, (most of the time inadvertently) we don't rent that room out until we get the key back. Keys that are "lost" or not returned to us in a reasonable amount will incur a minimum charge of $40.00 for a lost key to $70.00 for a rekey either added to your cc slip or billed to the address on the registration card.


GENERAL MOTEL POLICY 
You must be twenty-one (21) years or older to rent a room at the Colonial Motel.
Photo identification and a valid credit card for deposit MAY BE required at time of check-in.

The Colonial Motel has a Zero Tolerance policy in which it can and will refuse service or accommodations in the motel or may remove a person who:
  • Acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner while on motel property
  • Shows ANY signs of possible drug activity, such as cars coming and going to a particular room and leaving shortly thereafter, excessive or unusual foot traffic to a particular room, or any other activity (especially during the MIDDLE of the NIGHT...) deemed suspicious in nature in managements opinion. In some cases, police MAY BE called to inquire and/or investigate. We DO NOT take that sort of activity lightly....
  • Maliciously destroys or threatens to destroy any motel property; causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance;
  • Refuses to or is unable to pay for the accommodations or services at time of check-in.
  • Negligently or intentionally causes damage to the motel, furniture or furnishings within the motel, and shall be liable for any and all damages sustained by the innkeeper, including the motel's loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while said damage is being repaired.
The Colonial Motel limits the number of persons who may occupy any given guest room in the motel (Maximum of 3 in a 1 bed unit, 5 in a 2 bed unit,
and 7 in the 3 bed units) Only registered guests are allowed to use any of our onsite facilities unless otherwise authorized.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT:
Check-In Time: Between 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Check-out Time 11:00 AM. Check outs later than one half hour past posted time may be subject to a $10.00 late check out fee. Check outs later than one hour past posted time will be subject to a $20.00 late check out fee, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Our Office Hours: 9:00 AM - 11 PM

Please let us know in advance if you will be arriving later than 11:00 PM.
If you can't avoid a late arrival, just ring our "Night Bell" located by the front door when you arrive.
 

RESERVATIONS 
RESERVATION POLICY:

MINIMUM AGE: You must be twenty-one (21) years or older to rent a room at the Colonial Motel; photo identification may be required at time of check-in,
at the discretion of the clerk on duty or other management.

ROOM GUARANTEE: Reservations arriving AFTER 6:00 PM MAY not be held without a Credit Card Guarantee. A valid Credit Card number must be on file with us to GUARANTEE the room and reservation.

We highly recommend that you make reservations prior to arrival -especially during weekends, holidays, and other peak periods to insure your accommodations. An amount equal to one night's rent is required for each room reserved. A deposit is necessary to confirm a reservation and in order to receive a confirmation number. You will be required to provide the front desk manager with your credit card which matches the credit card used for your advanced deposit.

RESERVATION REQUESTS & INQUIRIES:
Your on-line or email reservation requests do not constitute a reservation until you are contacted by us and a one night's deposit has been recorded. All requests and inquiries will be responded to ASAP during regular office hours of 9AM to 11PM. Please note our online Reservations & Availability Inventory are subject to change without notice due to the fact it is not "real time" so for updated availability please contact us at 208-549-0150.

NO SHOWS:
Reservations that fail to show up and/or check in without notifying our office or someone on our staff will be charged a MINIMUM of $20.00 "NO SHOW" fee. Your on-line or email reservation requests do not constitute a reservation until you are contacted by us and a one night's deposit has been recorded. All requests and inquiries will be responded to ASAP during regular office hours of 9AM to 11PM. Reservations that fail to show up and/or check in without notifying our office or someone on our staff will be charged a MINIMUM of $20.00 "NO SHOW" fee. WEEKLY RENTALS: Special Policies for booking 7 nights or more:
If you are booking 7 nights or more the following policies will apply:

A) Room charges for the first 7 days of the stay are due at time of registration and by 12 Noon in advance of each subsequent consecutive 7 days of the stay. Credit will only be granted if a valid CC number is on file with the front desk. We do not "retro" our room rates to a weekly rate. In other words, if you stay 2 days, and then find you want, or need to stay a full week, the WEEKLY RATE will start on the day you come in to extend your stay, NOT the original date you registered.
B) Guests booking 7 days or more and receiving the discounted rate will receive a modified room service schedule [inclusive of room refresh after 3rd day (replenish towels/remove trash) and full room service at 7 days]. Additional service is available upon request, extra charges may apply.
C) Guests checking out anytime less than the first weekly term (7 consecutive days) will be charged the lesser of : (1) the weekly rate or (2) the daily standard rack rate times the actual number of nights.

CANCELLATION POLICY
CANCELLATION POLICY:

Once you make a reservation with us, rooms will be held for your occupancy in our reservation system.
We do not have a policy of overbooking, therefore we guarantee your reservation.

Due to the nature of our business, cancellations affect us significantly. This is why we apply the following cancellation policy:

- A minimum of 5 days notice prior to check in time is required for the cancellation / amendment of a reservation over peak periods (eg: Holiday Weekends, Special Events, etc.)

- A minimum of 24 hours notice prior to check in time is required for the cancellation / amendment of a reservation over non-peak periods.

- A cancellation or amendment to a reservation (or an existing stay) advised outside the above time frames or a 'No Show' may result in a 'No Show' or a 'Cancellation Fee' ranging from $20.00 minimum charge to the equivalent of one night's rate for the room type reserved.

- We reserve the right to accept reservations that are subject to a minimum stay period over peak periods. A request to reduce the length of stay on an existing reservation during special events will not be eligible for a refund unless a MINIMUM of 48 hours notice is given to office staff.

- If we do not have your credit card details or a deposit, you will be sent a bill indicating amount due. Amount indicated is due within 7 days of receipt.
Failure to pay accounting may result in further legal action by the Colonial Motel.

- We do not take any responsibility for assessing cancellation fees resulting from situations beyond our control, such as mistakes, the weather, family emergencies, or with wrong dates or information provided by you.

PETS & OTHER FURRY THINGS... 
PETS:
ANY and ALL pets must be declared at CHECK IN. Failure to do so will automatically cause an additional $25.00 FEE to be added to your bill.
If we do not have your credit card details or a deposit, you will be sent an account due within 7 days of receipt.
Failure to pay said accounting may result in further legal action being taken by the Colonial Motel.

Add $3. - $5./night to the room rate for a pet 15#'s and under. Pets 15#'s and over will be subject to a fee of $7.50 - $10.00/night.

Pets are NOT TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED in rooms for more than 10-15 minutes. If you cannot help but to have to leave your pet in the room unattanded for longer than that timeframe, a CONTACT PHONE NUMBER MUST BE left with office personnel. Dogs MUST BE on a leash or otherwise tethered at all times while outdoors. The Colonial will not be held responsible for any injury caused by your pet to any guest or motel staff member and said damage or injury will be the SOLE RESPONSIBILITY of the pet owner.

Pets are NOT to be ALLOWED on beds or other furniture at anytime. You will be charged additional fees for any damages or cleaning services incurred to motel property by your pet.

Pets must be walked in the designated pet area only (east side of old GAS STATION) and owners must clean up after their pet.

Following our pet policy will greatly ensure in keeping our motel a pet friendly motel. Flagrant disregard of the Colonial Motel Pet Policy will result in the owners and their pet being asked to leave without refund.
